"I haz a box. Iz can be cawled, 'Roxie in the Boxie!'"
We’re already planning the party. You know, the one when we take the Cone of Shame off of Kitty Kat’s head and burn it.
Melodramatic much?
There are moments when I think I’m OK seeing her cart around a plastic cone on her head – times where I even giggle at her licking it or seeing her trying to angle for a head scratch – and then I quickly sink to the sad face. You know, the one where the giggle isn’t so funny anymore.
But either way, there’s a light at the end of the tunnel because it’s Day Five. And I’m already predicting what’s going to happen once it’s off: loads of licking. This kitty is fussy about the grooming. She doesn’t like it when you brush her fur against the grain. Seven days in a cone must be pure torture!
Until then, she’s keeping herself busy with lots of extra naps as well as helping us clean out what I should call, “The Room of Shame.” It’s a room that used to be used as a studio space but was abandoned with all kinds of junk lying around. Roxie decided she’d help clean out this bin for us (so she could play in it).
Isn’t she the cutest?
