“Slammm.” The mailman came a half hour ago. He likes to slam the lid on our box. Granted, it’s a noisy box I intend to replace. But that sound has become synonymous with goodies in the mail (and bills, but who cares about those, right?)
Thumbing through, I found two packages and an envelope from a friend with a coupon for Banana Republic. “Good timing,” I thought since I need to go shopping for the LA trip. One package was for Lar. And the last was for me. Priority mail envelopes always make me giddy.
I tore it open like a kid in a candy store and low and behold it was a package from with two absolutely incredibly gorgeous hooks wrapped like children in blankets:
I screamed, ‘YOU’VE GOT TO BE KIDDING ME!” No one heard me except me. I’m the only one home. LOL. But had Lar been home I think he would have asked where the fire was. I screamed about 3 or 4 times. And then came the round of “Oh my GOD…oh my GOddd…OH…MY…GOD” each with it’s own unique intonnation on one word in the phrase.
The first one is a Purple Heart 4.50mm hook with a 10mm peridot (my birthstone…yep, I’m on the 12th of this month) Swarovski crystal with 2 sterling silver spheres and accents, as well as a captive ring:
And if that wasn’t beyond, beyond, BEYONDDDD generous enough, there was another equally incredible hook in the package. This one is a Pink Ivory 2.75m hook that has a bone insert and sterling silver accents, spheres, and rondells, as well as a captive ring:
My mind is just blown away. I can’t even formulate words to describe how incredibly generous this gift is. And I had a giggle at what wrote in the one for the Pink Ivory: “Engineered and Handcrafted to Aero Space Tolerances!” Right now I feel like I’m in outer space because I just can’t believe how incredible a gift this is. I can’t wait to use these on our taping of next week!
