I wasn’t going to let another week go by without crocheting. I mean, all this packing is taking away from the important things in life: yarn, hook, and designing! So what if I’m not packed to move in 3 weeks? I don’t need a new house…just some new fresh ideas for projects, right?
So, I started on this little number.
It’s slated to be a bikini. I know, I know. I can hear you now: “It’s Fall woman. What are you doing?” Listen, I’ve barely had a summer as it is, slaving away at this computer to make NexStitch what it is. I don’t even have a tan and I’ve had two months off. Does that describe to you the sad state of affairs here? I’m trying to live vicariously through my designs, trying to get back the summer I just lost. Actually, if you MUST know, I was trying to come up with an idea for the Crochet a Day calander that Annie Modessit puts out.
I’m liking it so far as it’s shaped the way I wanted it to be. Nothing like a like frogging to cover all the bases, eh? But after I started it, I got to thinking, “I’d love to put out a crochet halter top…hmmmm.” So now I’m in a quandry. Do I stick with the plan, or do I try the halter? I like these colors for a bikini and I think if I was going to ‘go halter’ I’d use some different colors.
I’m going to have to decide soon though because I AM moving and won’t have time to pick this up until it’s almost time to submit for the calender.
