Slip Stitch ("slip st")

Description: Slip stitches have a variety of uses including joining motifs, attaching yarn to new places, strengthening edges, binding off, creating a ring for crocheting in the round, and joining two pieces together. The benefit of using a slip stitch when working in a row or round is that it does not add extra height. This stitch is also used to create other stitches such as the picot.

Directions: Insert hook in next st, YO, and draw through work as well as remaining loops on hook
