What's New Free Crochet Patterns |
Free Crochet Video Tutorials: Learn to Crochet Video Series Joining New Yarn ("join") Description: Some patterns require a crocheter to finish off their current skein of yarn and re-attach the skein in a new place. "Joining," as it is called, is done using a chain stitch and can be altered to begin rows or varying height. Each chain created will equal the proper turning chain height. So, chain once for single crochet, chain twice for half double crochet, and so on. Directions: To begin SC - Insert hook in desired st, wrap yarn over hook, pull up a loop, YO, and draw through loop. Sc in same st. To begin HDC - Insert hook in desired st, wrap yarn over hook, pull up a loop, (YO, and draw through loop) twice. Hdc in same st. See our Copyright Policy regarding NexStitch™ Videos |
