Popcorn Stitch ("popcorn")

Description: Popcorn stitches are formed from several completed double crochet stitches that are joined at both the top and bottom. This stitch gets its unique shape by creating the required amount of doubles, removing the hook, reinserting it under both loops of the first double, and grabbing onto the loose loop from the last double. Popcorn stitches allow for a raised effect, adding visual and textural interest to a crochet piece.

Directions: To pc with 5 dc's - Work 5 dc's in next st, remove hook from loop, reinsert hook in both loops of first dc, reattach last loop onto hook, draw through first dc, ch 1
