Free Crochet Video Tutorials: Learn to Crochet Video Series Loop (Fur) Stitch ("lp st") Description: The loop stitch, also called the "fur stitch," is similar to creating a single crochet stitch, except that a long strand of yarn is looped and caught up in the back of the work. The size of the loop is determined by whatever is creating it. Some people prefer knitting needles while others use their index finger as a suitable substitute. The loop stitch creates a fun effect best utilized for funky pillows and shaggy-looking handbags. Directions: Insert hook in next st, swing hook around yarn from left to right clockwise. Using head of hook, grab yarn under fingers and draw through work leaving formed loop over index finger.
