Tunisian Purl Stitch ("tps")
Description: The tunisian purl stitch is similar in appearance to the knitter's garter stitch in that both have a horizontal loopy effect. The key to a successful purl stitch resides in the placement of the yarn prior to beginning the stitch. First the yarn needs to be brought to the front of the work. Next, the hook is inserted through the vertical bar and the yarn is wrapped around the back of the hook. A loop is then pulled through in a similar fashion to a Tunisian simple stitch. The return row is a basic return row. The video demonstrates both the forward pass and return row.
